Tamir Naaman Pery
Israeli cellist Tamir Naaman Pery received his cello education under the guidance of Professor Zvi Plesser and Professor Frans Helmerson. He is the recipient of the Bruno Frey Music Prize and won the first prize of Young Musicians Competition in Israel, second prize winner of the 'David Grits' competition and the Verão Clássico Academy Award.
Both as a soloist and a chamber musician, Tamir participated in festivals and mastercourses such as Lumières d’Europe, Yellow Barn, Geneva International String Academy, Thy Chamber Music Festival,, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music festival, International Clasical Music Festival ‘Clasclas’, the Perlman Music Program, Musethica International Festival, Moritzburg Festival academy, and the David Goldman program for outstanding young musicians. His playing was broadcast on radio stations in Israel, Estonia, Hungary and Russia.
Tamir shared the stage and collaborated with leading musicians of our time, including David Grimal, Donald Weilerstein, Gary Hoffman, Peter Bruns, Diemut Poppen, Clraire Dèsert on prestigious stages such as the Pierre Boulez Saal, Zucker Hall, and Henry Crown Hall. He had the privilege of working with world known figures such as Daniel Barenboim, Krzysztof Chorzelski, David Geringas, Kyril Zlotnikov, Hans Jorgen Jensen and Joel Krosnick.
Graduated from Karmiel Conservatory, the Jerusalem Music Center and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Tamir held scholarship as an active participant in the Nazarian Chamber Music program of Excellence in Chamber Music, leading him to take part in various performance opportunities, including a special concert with Pinchas Zukerman. He is a member of the prestigious Boulez Ensemble and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
Tamir received scholarships from the Jerusalem Music Center , Zefunot Culture, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and and Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben .
