Yoav Eshed

The award-winning Israeli Guitarist and composer began piano lessons just before his third birthday and gave his first formal piano recital at the age of seven, playing works by composers including Mozart, Bach and Hayden. At the age of 13 he picked up the guitar and since then he performed across Israel with the elite of Israel’s jazz musicians while winning annually America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships for Jazz since 2008. After finishing his army service, he received scholarships from ‘New School’ (NY) and ‘The President Scholarship’ from Berklee College Of Music as well as the ‘Prestigious Dean Award’.
Yoav received the Israeli Government Prize For Original Creation by adapting a well-known children’s album into jazz and performing it throughout the country.
Yoav Won a Yamaha guitar at the prestigious ​international Jazz competition in the United States – ‘Six String Theory’ sponsored by Yamaha.​
Yoav won the 1st place prize at the biggest Annual Jazz Competition of Rimon School Of Music in Israel and was chosen to perform with Saxophone master Dave Liebman in Denmark in July 2013. Yoav was chosen to do be the 1st Featured Artist of AICF – America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
Yoav won the 3rd Place prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival Guitar Competition in Switzerland. The same year Yoav became a Kirlin Artist. He was chosen to play in April 2014 to play two sets at Dizzy’s Jazz Club at Lincoln Center in New York with the highly acclaimed jazz singer Sarah McKenzie together with the famous trumpeter Ingrid Jensen. Yoav was chosen to take part in the 1st Jazz Academy in Montreux Switzerland, sponsored by Montreux Jazz Festival, playing with Eric Harland, Joe Sanders, Yaron Herman and Grammy Nominated pianist Gerald Clayton.
Yoav graduated from Berklee College of Music Summa Cum Laude and received a Full Tuition Scholarship to attend the 1st class of the Global Jazz Masters Program at Berklee. Later on, Yoav began to tour internationally and was invited to play in Monterey Jazz festival in California and in June in Athens Jazz Festival in Greece with his trio project – Trio Millionaires, performed in July 2015 at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and in Aix’ en Provence Festival in France. Yoav was also invited to participate as an Exhibitor Artist at the prestigious NAMM show in California.
