Ariel Waldmann

Ariel Waldmann, born in Israel in 2009, began playing the piano at the age of six. At eight, he joined the Arad Conservatory, where he studied under Miriam Kornberg until 2022. He currently continues his studies at the Israel Music Conservatory with Ron Trachtman.

Since the age of 11, Ariel has been part of the Jerusalem Music Center's Outstanding Young Pianists Program. He has participated in masterclasses with notable pianists, including Arthur Pizarro, Michal Tal, Pavlina Dokovska, Boris Berman, Shoshana Cohen, Lea Agmon, Pascal Nemirovsky, Claudius Tanski, Kathryn Page, Murray McLachlan, Shir Semmel, Pierre Réach, Ariel Halevy, and Massimiliano Ferrati.

Ariel has achieved success in several national competitions, including first prize in the Scherzo competition, first and third prizes in the Piano Forever competition, third prize in the Pnina Salzman competition, and first prize in The Negev Sounds competition. He also won the concerto competition twice within the PianoFest Arad framework. His victories in The Negev Sounds and PianoFest Arad concerto competitions earned him the opportunity to perform with the Beer Sheva Sinfonietta.

Ariel received an America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) scholarship for excellence for the year 2024-2025.He has also participated in the AICF's program for the Advancement and Cultivation of Exceptional Musicians in the Periphery for the years 2022-2023 and 2024-2025.
