The America-Israel Cultural Foundation is excited to announce the winners of the 21st Aviv Competitions that were held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Recanati Hall.
This year, 29 musicians aged 21-33 competed in the following fields: Piano, Brass, Cello and Voice.
* The Rachel and Dov Gottesman Family Prize for Cello, in the amount of $6,000 – Assif Binness
* The Michal Oren Prize for Voice, in the amount of $6,000 – Rona Shrira, contralto
* The Lillian Shapiro and Lester Beryl Radlo Prize for Brass, donated by their grandson, David Eliezer Lieberman, in the amount of $6,000 – Elai Grisaru Drori, trombone
* The Goldie R. Feldman Prize for Piano, provided by the Canada-Israel Cultural Foundation, in the amount of $6,000 – Tom Zalmanov
* The Mira Zakai Prize for Outstanding Performance of the Israeli Vocal Piece, donated by the Zakai family, in the amount of NIS 7,500 – Tamara Navoth, mezzo-soprano
* The Rafi Guralnik Prize for Outstanding Performance of the Israeli Instrumental Piece, donated by the Guralnik family, in the amount of NIS 7,500 – Elai Grisaru Drori, trombone
