Chen Holtzman (24), mezzo-soprano, is currently in her final year of her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music in the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel-Aviv University under the tutelage of Prof. Sharon Rostorf-Zamir.
During her studies Chen performed in several projects appearing in the roles of Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), 3rd Dame (Die Zauberflöte), and Old Lady (Candide). Other notable roles and appearances include Mother and Black Cat (L’enfant et les sortilèges), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), and Nireno (Giulio Cesare in Egitto).
Holtzman has attended the Perugia Music Fest and the Summer Opera Program in Tel-Aviv by The Israel Vocal Art Institute (IVAI). Chen is the recipient of multiple grants and competitions including 2nd place in the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Vocal Competition, the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Excellence Scholarship, and the AICF Scholarship.
