Daphna Itzhaky

Daphna Itzhaky was the principal flutist of the Israel NKO Chamber Orchestra 2008-2018, and prior to that, Principal flutist of the Be’er Sheva Sinfonietta and a member of the Israeli Opera Orchestra.
Performed many times as a soloist with these orchestras, as well as in Abu-Gosh Festival.
Plays regularly with the Israel Contemporary Players Ensemble, various Chamber Ensembles, and freelances with leading Israeli orchestras.
After graduating Cum-Laude from the Music Academy in Tel Aviv University, completed her Artist Diploma and Masters Degree in Amsterdam & Utrecht Conservatories.
While living in the Netherlands, was touring Europe as a member of the “Utrecht Flute Quartet”, which specializes in contemporary music, as well as playing on a variety of flutes, to which various composers have dedicated their compositions.
Daphna played in many masterclasses and festivals around the world, among them are “Verbier Festival” in Switzerland, “Impuls Contemporary Music Festival” in Austria and “Classical Winter” in Jerusalem.
Daphna won the AICF scholarships through her study years in Israel and abroad, and served in the Israel Military Band during her army service.
