Herman Gold

Herman Gold is a Jewish artist and Honored Painter of Ukraine, currently living in Israel.
Herman was born in Kursk in 1933. During World War II he was in evacuation, where his little sister died. After the war, his father was also gone.
Since the age of 13, Herman has been engaged in the only thing he love, creating life on the canvas.
In 1949, Herman enrolled in the Yelets Art School, where he studied under outstanding A. Kurnakov, V. Dudchenko and B. Giller.
Since the end of the 1950s Herman Gold began to create a Jewish series of paintings, which he is still working on.
In 1960-1962, he lived and worked in the studio of N.N. Zhukov, National Artist of the USSR.
In 1964, Herman Gold joined the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1980, he lived and worked in Kyiv. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
In 2008 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
In 2022 the war came to Ukraine again and today Herman Gold continues his artistic journey in Israel, with an immense gratitude to his historical homeland and an immense pain for Ukraine.
