Iris Peled

Iris was born in 2002. She began her ballet training at the age of 4. From 2014-2020 she began learning at the dance division of the Reut for the Arts school in Haifa, under the artistic direction of Michal Bardas Hason and Racheli Shapira.
From 2014-2020 she has been learning at Haifa Center of Excellence in Dance under the artistic direction of Michal Bardas Hason. There she practices on a regular basis, with teachers like Jay Allen Augen ,Ilana Steyer, Shira Ganor, Dafi altabab.
She participates, on regular basis, in leading summer courses, where she was taught by teachers like Ashley Wheater( the artistic director of the Joffrey Ballet), Cedric Lambrette (soloist at the Royal Danish Ballet) Dana Stephensen (soloist at the Australian Ballet) and more.
From 2016-2020 she joined the Haifa Center of Excellence in Dance summer intensive, where she was taught by Francois Perron (principal of the Joffrey Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre) Alexandra Wells‎‏ (faculty member at The Juilliard School in New York) and Naomi Perlov.
In 2016 She received the AAB summer course scholarship
In 2017 she competed at the Mia Arbatova competition.
In 2019 she received a scholarship to the PCDC summer intensive in New York there she was taught by Igal Perry, Rena Butler (Princess Grace Award winner), Zachary Tang and been a part of Micaela G. Taylor new work called “Puppet”.
Iris attended Mia Arbatova’s 2020 gala with a variation and pas de deuxs from the ballet Don Quixote.
In 2020 Iris received an outstanding dancer standard from the military.
Nowadays Iris is a part of Kamea Dance Company in Beer Sheva.
Awards:
1st place in the international festival competition of children and youth art, 2014, and International competition of art in Bulgaria, 2016.
2018 she got both classical ballet and modern scholarships from The America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
In 2019 received an Outstanding Merit scholarship in modern dance from The America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
In 2020 Iris received an outstanding dancer standard from the military.
In 2020 she received a scholarship in modern from The America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
