Itzhak Vinokur

Born in Belarus, Itzhak started to study piano at age of 10. Three years later, his family moved to Israel where he continued his musical education in Jerusalem Music High School. Later, he went to the Jerusalem Academy of Music for piano class of Irina Berkovich. In his last year of B.Mus, he started to take composition private lessons and three years later he was accepted to the same Academy but in the Composition Faculty, studying with Slava Ganelin.
Now Itzhak composes music for theater, makes arrangements, and teaches piano and chamber music for people with and without special needs. He is married and has four kids.
Itzhak participated in composition masterclasses in Ireland and Israel, composed songs that were exhibited in the Jerusalem Municipality site during the first Corona lockdown, composed and recorded two theater plays with his music that was partly composed and partly improvised.
During his high school, he was awarded an AICF prize for chamber music.
