Liel Waksman

Liel was born in Ma’alot, a city in the north of Israel, and later on moved to the center of the country. She started studying piano at the age of 7 at a music center in her hometown, and at 11.5 years old started taking private lessons with Dr. Daria Monastyrski who remains her teacher to this day. Aged 14, she started 9th grade at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts that is located in Givatayim, where she majors in classical music.
In November of 2013, Liel participated in the National Chopin Competition for Young Pianists that took place in Tel- Aviv and won the 3rd place in the age category of under 15 years old. Also, in July of 2016 she participated in an international music festival called Burgos International Music Festival that took place in Spain. There she rehearsed and performed chamber music pieces with other teenagers from around the world, and won the 2nd place in a solo competition (for all age groups) that took place there.
Through the years, she has had master classes with various distinguished pianists and teachers such as Ron Regev, Assaff Weisman and Yael Keret and have had lessons with Prof. Vadim Monastyrski as well.
