Lihi Berger

Lihi Berger is a graduate of the Industrial Design Department at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Before starting her studies in Bezalel, Lihi founded “Lihi Berger Album Design”, a boutique photo albums studio. She has been managing and developing the studio for the last 6 years. Throughout “Lihi Berger Album Design,” Lihi deals with graphic design and photography. Alongside the creative part, she runs all operational aspects as well as marketing activities.
Lihi served in 8200 unit in the IDF. Before her military service, she devoted a year to volunteering (as part of a year of service) with youth in Lod. She graduated with honors from the art department at Thelma Yelin High School.
Lihi’s work combines design and art using high observation skills, deep research, and documentation. Many of her works deal with preserving memory and start from the desire to use existing materials and objects for the benefit of the environment.
As part of her final project in Bezalel, Lihi dealt with the field of urban renewal and asked, “How can the memory of a building that is destined for demolition be preserved?”. Lihi’s final project was published in several newspapers (here is a link to an article written by Naama Riba for Haaretz newspaper), was presented in two pop-up exhibitions and is expected to be shown in additional exhibitions in the coming months.
