Lynn Gefen
Born in 1986 in Tel-Aviv, Israel where she lives and works.
2008-2012 Ha Midrasha, Beit Berl College of art, Israel.
2012 America-Israel Cultural Foundation Sharet scholarship.
In her works Lynn examines the space between nature and artificialness, the places where
a person finds it makes no difference between the real and the fake. Nature is no longer natural, it is something that we create from a perception, from patterns that we invent on how does the real look. She focuses on the human ability to empty a concept out of its real meaning and cherish the outlines of that idea. Photography holds within itself the truth and the lie, It is a tool that creates a document and at the same time reveals an illusion.
