Menachem welt

Menachem Welt was born and raised in Israel.He started learning to play electric bass at age 13 and two years later switched to the upright bass.
While studying in the high school for Arts in Jerusalem as a jazz major, Menachem was also in the “Sadna” conservatory playing in the Big Band and at the representative ensemble.
At his Army service he played bass at the Police Orchestra. Currently he is a student at the Center for jazz studies – New school Program.
Plays with the top Israeli jazz scene musicians around the country and the world, to mention a few concerts: Red Sea Jazz Festival, Nairobi Jazz Festival, Festival Des Cultures Juives – Paris, Oklahoma Jazz Festival, Guatemala Jazz Festival, Expo 2017 Astana, Beit HaAmudim Jazz Club, The Yellow Submarine Club, Zappa Club, Beit Avichai .
Menachem received a full scholarship for the jazz workshop of the red sea jazz festival, a scholarship for excellence from Center for jazz studies – New school Program, and also is an AICF scholarship recipient in the years 2016-18
