Pianist and Composer Ofri Pinto is a strong figure within the Jazz and World Music scene. Born and raised in Jerusalem, the city that constitutes a vast melting pot of musical heritages. Since moving to NY to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music under a scholarship, Ofri is leading and participating in different musical projects, collaborating with artists from around the world. The project AGONA – a group dedicated to expand the music of the Balkans and relate it with other honorable musical traditions, is led by Agona Shporta and Ofri Pinto, where Ofri plays a key role of composing, arranging and performing. Their project has played around NYC on many occasions, such as The Garden State International Heritage Festival, Artery Events and other venues around the city.
