Peleg-Mercedes Matityahu

Peleg Mercedes Matityahu, born in Israel (1992), is an artist and goldsmith.
She received her BA in jewelry design from Shenkar – college of art, design and engineerin, Israel in 2021.
Her works is a reflection of her personal journey that based on traumatic head injury that ultimately resulted in short term memory loss. By consistent repetition in the manner of work she creates a wearable artworks.
Peleg’s graduation project “Memory Holder” has been exhibited internationally right after graduation in 2021 at the International Graduate Show of Galerie MARZEE and awarded the Marzee Graduate prize.
Peleg received the AICF scholarship for outstanding achievement in the field of jewelry. She has also been an artist in residence at INTRO gallery by Galerie Marzee, Amsterdam.
Her work exhibited internationally and can be found in several private collections.
