Serene Zaatre

Serene zaatre was born in Nazareth in 1993, a graduate student in the Department of Textile Design at Shenkar College for engineering and design, Tel Aviv. At the age of 20, she began to do a bachelor’s degree in textile design and she completed her bachelor’s degree in 2017.
She is a textile designer who specialized in knitting. She deals with everything related to fabrics, dyeing embroidery, printing, and exploring the characteristics of the fabrics from the thread level to fabrication. She is interested in the combination of chemistry and textiles, and this is what led her to engage in a project related to burning and investigating the behavior of the various fabrics in the third year, the passion for everything related to fabrics and manual knitting made by grandmothers and generations in the past.
Exhibitions:
2012- presented at the graduation exhibition at Studio B6.
2017- presented at the Graduates Exhibition in the Department of Textile Design.
Awards:
2016 – Internship at Delta Galil, Carmiel.
2017 – AICF grant recipient in the field of textile design.
2016 /2017 – mentoring scholarship.
