Suhail Canaan

Suhail Canaan was born in Tamra in the Galilee in the north of Israel. He studied music in Beit al Musica in shefar’am , he started his cello lessons in 2011 with Mrs Ela Kuperman , for two years ,followed by four years with Mr. Jonathan Gotlibovich. He studies at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin.
He worked with local eastern music ensembles and worked as a teacher for beginners. He performed with ESNCM youth orchestra , the Mediterranean youth orchestra, and in Orpheus association chamber music programs.
He has won the ESNCM 1st prize of the strings department in 2014, and won the AICF scholarship award in 2017 .
