Tamar Ben-Zaken

Tamar Ben-Zaken, born in 2001, has been playing the Bassoon since 2013, when she was in 6th grade.
She is a student of Mr. Richard Paley (Jerusalem) since 2014. In that year, she won third prize in the Kfar-Saba wind competition. Since then, Tamar has played in all the major national youth orchestras in Israel – The National Youth Wind Orchestra, “Bnei-Hakibutzim” orchestra and YIPO – The Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, where she plays as principal bassoon. Tamar plays in chamber music ensembles, as part of the David Goldman program for outstanding young musicians. Tamar won the AICF high-level scholarship, for 2017/2018.
