Uri Zvi Cohen
Uri Cohen is a grade student in the gifted class of Ironi Dalet High School in Tel Aviv. He has been playing the piano for the past seven years, studying under Ms. Ifat Zaidel at the Israel Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv.
Uri participates in the gifted musicians’ program of the Ministry of Education, as well as in the piano program and the David Goldman chamber music program of the Jerusalem Music Center (JMC).
In 2020 he won the first prize at the Piano Forever national competition, and in 2022 he won the first prize in the “Con brio” competition in Beer Yaakov.
Uri has participated in several master classes, including with the pianists Dr. Michal Tal, Prof. Tomer Lev and Prof. Arie Vardi, as well as Maestro Murry Perahia in the summer festival of the JMC under his guidance. In 2021 he played as a soloist with the Tel-Aviv Soloists ensemble and the Ashdod Symphonic Orchestra.
Uri is a recipient of the American Israel Cultural Foundation excellence scholarship for the years 2022-2024.
